"Democratic" units of the modern Russian language as explicators of subjective modality in a portrait interview

The representation of evaluative modality in the context of democratic processes in the lexical system of the modern Russian language is considered using the material of portrait interviews. The degree of deviation of the used means of expressing subjective-modal meanings from the norms of the literary language depending on the source of the interview and its target audience has been revealed.
