Democracy and economic policy of the state

An urgent task of the Russian Federation at the present stage of its development is to find the optimum balance in the use of legal theory, legislation and practice of legal thought achievements. The other task is to develop a new look at institutional and functional aspects of the domestic legal system. The latter should be done on the basis of the Russian state specifics, as well as the history of the domestic law in light of established legal traditions. The article discusses a number of problems associated with collective decisions affecting the interests of the majority of society. Often these decisions are taken in a democratic way, but they do not lead to expected economic results. This is due to some "flaws" of a civil society.
