The article reveals the topical problem of the influence of modern destructive subcultures on young people in the context of digitalization. The theoretical and practical aspects of the formation and spread of destructive youth subcultures on the Internet are considered. Some attention is paid to the analysis of the socio-psychological mechanisms of the impact of destructive youth subcultures on young people, their classification, typology and potential risks. The paper contains a description of the most dangerous youth subcultures, such as «AUE» («Prisoner’s Criminal Unity»), «Columbine», «MKU» (Maniacs. The cult of murder) and suicide groups. The paper comprehensively examines the powers of the subjects of countering destructive youth subcultures in the digital environment, defines their legal status, and substantiates the role of internal affairs bodies as the main subject of this activity.
