Children and youth in the new Russia

Success of the transition to innovation technologies depends on the share of younger cohorts in the structure of labour force that are capable of an effective mastering these technologies. The demographic process of intensive ageing and the corresponding loss of the quality of population predetermine the necessity of solving a series of problems concerning the younger generation of the country. Identification of the most important problem for the country is substantiated by the data from the state statistics and the findings of special surveys.
