The article highlights the problem of negative mass media impact on the communicative consciousness of children using the example of the TV project “Masha's Fairy-Tales”. The author claims that text-semantic modifications of folk tales in Masha's interpretation transform the code of Russian culture and contribute to the formation of different ideas and knowledge in the child's mind, which leads to its deformation as a linguistic person, as a result of which it negatively affects their communication with the older generation.
