Children’s blogging as a factor of professional mobility of parents: sociological analysis

The article examines how the joint activity of parents and children related to the creation of digital content (blogging) affects the decision of parents to change their main activity and generally leave the labor market, i. e. their professional and social mobility. The results of sociological research on factors that may indicate the institutionalization and professionalization of blogging are considered, as well as data on how children and their parents are included in modern blogging. The results of a qualitative study on children's blogs and the factors that led parents to decide to leave the labor market, changing their occupation to blogging are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of such activities are outlined. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that children's blogging significantly affects the professional mobility of their parents, opening up new career opportunities and requiring the development of additional skills.
