The formation of the basics of ecological culture in the surrounding world and the formation of environmentally appropriate behavior is one of the most important key tasks of preschool education and upbringing in the XXI century. Environmental development is the most important direction and fundamental character in the work of preschool organizations. One way to increase their effectiveness is to work in different forms and in different ways. Methods of environmental education are methods that have already become a tradition: visual - viewing paintings and illustrations, demonstration of models, films about nature, both artistic and documentary, filmstrips, slides with projection on large screens, observation, excursions; verbal - conversations, situational conversation, discussion, reading adapted environmental literature; practical - environmental games, experiments, experiments, child labor in nature. Be that as it may, today the modernization of education in Russia has made it necessary to revise the methods of educating preschool children, orienting teachers to work with more effective forms and methods to build an educational process that is based on development in education. One of these methods is experimentation with children. Experimentation is a method of education that allows children to: model an image of the world or mentally imagine the world in their head based on their own surveys, using their own experience, connections and laws. Experimental work arouses in children a great interest in learning and understanding nature, also develops psychological processes (analysis, synthesis, classification, generalization, etc.). It encourages cognitive activity and curiosity, explains about natural phenomena and ethics of social life, activates awareness of the material. Experiments also help to establish the most effective ways to protect nature and develop their own norms of behavior in nature. The dominance of the experimental method (we can say it is a fusion of mindfulness and thinking) lies in the fact that it allows children to truly experience all aspects of the subject under study, its relationship with other environmental matters. Allowing children to hear, see and do something on their own, promotes the assimilation of everything new firmly, well and for a long time, it is also a sure sign of readiness for school. This article is devoted to children's experiments and practical exercises as an effective method of environmental education of preschool children. The main advantages of experimentation in independent activity are that it gives children a realistic idea of various aspects of the subject being studied, its relationship with other subjects and the environment. The experimental method promotes the development of children's curiosity and their ability to solve problem situations independently.
