Childhood as a sociocultural phenomenon

The article exposes objective nature of childhood, considers problems of growing up in a sociocultural context, attitude to childhood in the society. Creative work in the culture of childhood is regarded as the most important factor of reality learning. The author comes to a conclusion that creation of the context of children culture is an active two-sided process in which both adults and children participate.
