Deverbatives ending with -en in view of taxis actualization (based on the German language)

This article discusses the German -en deverbatives from the standpoint of their actualization of taxis meanings of simultaneity and asynchrony. The material of this study is statements with the deverbatives combined with various prepositions of adverbial semantics including temporal, modal, medial, causal ones and others. The paper describes the taxis functionality of procedural, actional, static and event-based -en deverbatives, which have the properties of re-verbalization and taxis. When maintaining the verbal semantics of generative verbs, they demonstrate the ability for taxis actualization. Acquiring some concrete-objective meanings, they lose their taxis potential. In the statements with temporal prepositions, the considered names act as actualizers of the primary taxis meanings of simultaneity, anteriority or posteriority. In the statements with prepositions of modal, medial, causal and final semantics, they participate in secondary taxis actualization of simultaneity. Iterative and multiplicative deverbatives that have inherited the genetic multiplicity of generative verbs express conjugated categorial meanings of iterative primary taxis, iterative secondary taxis and multiplicative secondary taxis.
