Adolescent girls in Russia: contemporary trends of reproductive potential formation

This article presents a literature review of recent decades, devoted to various aspects of reproductive health of adolescent girls, composing a demographic reserve of the country. The basic tendencies of the reproductive potential of the current teenage girls (mothers in the nearest future) are marked: retardation of formation of morpho-functional reproductive system against high-frequency deviations and disharmonious physical development, low levels of physical health, due to the high incidence of chronic extragenital diseases with a predominance of "ecology dependent" diseases (bodies digestive, genitourinary system, anemia, high prevalence of gynecological diseases with a predominance in the structure of menstrual disorders, inflammatory diseases of the genitals and dysmenorrheal) in their structure; high level of adolescent fertility in the backdrop of early sexual activity and low awareness about methods of prevention of STD / HIV infection and abortion. Main trends of its optimization are specified. The most important among them are the improvement of future parents' knowledge and culture about safe sex and contraception, active rehabilitation of teenage girls to a planned pregnancy in a fully endometrium provided with maximum social and biological well-being of the organism, the family and society on the whole.
