Diagnostic capabilities of MR-enterography in patients with irritable bowel syndrome

Irritable bowel syndrome is one of the most common functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. The possibilities of radiation methods in this disease are insufficiently studied. The aim of the study was to improve the diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome using MR- enterography. Physical, clinical and laboratory examination, colonoscopic examination and MR- enterography were performed in 217 patients with different variants of stool disorders and abdominal pain. This article reviews the various diagnostic symptoms on MR-enterography in patients with irritable bowel syndrome. MR-enterography gives an idea of the cause of clinical manifestations, in conjunction with clinical and laboratory data allows to identify differential diagnostic signs and determine further tactics of management of patients with irritable bowel syndrome.
