The article is concerned with examination of children with severe speech disorders, which is aimed at identification of a predisposition to dyscalculia. The author describes the features of mathematical readiness for school education of preschool children with speech disorders. The author also discusses the issues of verbal dyscalculia prevention in the conditions of the educational institution. Special attention is given to the need for the special speech therapy in order to prevent verbal dyscalculia of children with severe speech disorders (active use of mathematical terminology in speech).
