Diagnostics of language level of undergraduate students: approaches and factors

The scientific research is directed to the approaches of diagnosing the language level of undergraduate students of elementary education at the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy. The paper considers the main methods of language competence assessment, factors influencing the results of diagnostics. The aim of the study is to analyze and evaluate the methods of diagnosing the language level of bachelor students. The study is focused on identifying the most effective approached for accurate diagnosis of student’s language competence, with an emphasis on determining the level of Russian language proficiency. The subjects of the study are diagnostic testing of level of Russian language proficiency, including modern approaches adapted to the specifics of the education process and individual characteristics of students. The study emphasizes the necessity of regular monitoring of students language competence.
