Diagnostics of student volunteer culture

The author explores the culture of a student volunteer as a set of value priorities of activity in the youth volunteer movement of Kabardino-Balkaria. A set of methods of sociological survey and qualitative analysis of empirical data were used to study transformations in the value and worldview structure of a person participating in volunteer movement during their study in a higher education institution. The system of student volunteer culture diagnostics proposed by the author allows to spot the tendencies of self-organization of the cultural system in the process of formation of young generation entering an independent life. Within the framework of interdisciplinary cultural approach student volunteer culture is considered as a renewable and self-governing system of supra-biological programs of life activity, which has a historically developed mechanism of self-organization - transformation of value priorities of activity and symbols of its success, accompanying the change of generations. It has been established that a distinctive feature of modern student volunteer culture is a sharp devaluation of altruistic motives for voluntary activity.
