Diagnostics of the level of maturity of the integral professionally important quality of future marine specialists

The paper discusses the problem of detection of professionally important qualities of the future marine specialists, their formation and detection in the process of learning within the system of secondary vocational education. In the course of the original research related to testing the pedagogical model of formation of professionally important qualities of future marine specia-lists and the experimental program “Technological support of formation of the professionally important qualities of future marine specialists” the professionally important qualities of future marine specialists that compose the integral professionally important quality were identified, diagnostic tools to assess their maturity level were developed. Basic professionally important qualities were grouped into psychological, cognitive, motivational and value, personal and societal, and professional. Some results of the experimental work on a representative sample of future marine specialists related to diagnostic of formation of professionally important qualities of future marine specialists with the developed diagnostic tools are given.
