According to modern literature the algorythm of the examination in case of nipple discharge consists in collecting anamnesis, visual examination, palpation, cytological analysis of discharge and ductography. However the cause of discharge is not found in all cases due to either very small size of the pathological lesion or little experience of the radiologist analysing the obtained data. Also there is a certain number of restrictions and side effects while doing ductography. Considering these problems the scientists have to look for simpler, safer and more informative methods of examining patients with nipple discharge.
