The article reveals the interpretation of the functions of educational work in the system of dialectical teaching methods: logical, executive and managerial. The author focuses special attention in the work on delegating the managerial function of labor to students when creating certain conditions as an effective resource of motivation, self-assessment, self-control, self-education. The phenomenon of the dialectic of the functions of educational work has not been sufficiently investigated and requires deserved attention from both theory and pedagogical practice.
