Statement of the problem. Due to the insufficient study of the intertextual connections of O.G. Paramonov’s creativity, as well as the plot-thematic connections of classical works of Russian literature and poems of the Bryansk poet, the topic of the study is relevant today. The purpose of the article is to describe functional features of epigraphs, intertextual forms: allusions and quotations in O.G. Paramonov’s collection The Long Jump, as well as to establish the plot-thematic interaction of the poet’s poems with the works of classics of Russian literature. Review of scientific literature. Such researchers as A.A. Bogoderova, A.A. Enikeev, E.Yu. Potapchuk, G.O. Andreeva dealt with the problem of intertextual connections. However, O.G. Paramonov’s work did not become the object of literary critics’ research. Methodology (materials and methods). Comparative-historical and structural methods are used as the main methods. The study was conducted on the material of the collection of poems by O.G. Paramonov The Long Jump. Research results. The study found that allusions and quotations fulfil different functions: the intertextual forms, on one hand, contrast Paramonov’s poetic world to the world of classical poets and prose writers; on the other hand, these artistic forms contribute to the embodiment of ideas identical to classical literary works in Paramonov’s poetry. Conclusion. It is concluded that thanks to allusions and quotations Paramonov reproduces the image of the modern world, echoing the reality depicted by poets and prose writers of the 19th century.
