Dialogue structure of speech as a means of developing communicative competence among students in foreign language teaching

The research examines the aspects of developing communicative competence among students in foreign language teaching through role-playing dialogues. The concept of the type of dialogue is described based on the mental attitude of participants of communication. The research highlights the dictum, modal, and regulative types of dialogue. As a rule, a lecturer turns out to be a lead partner in dialogue. He manages the grasp of educational material by students, promotes them to use comprehensive speech patterns. Besides, a lecturer can provide guidelines for collaboration, cooperation or, conversely, resistance until the end or a point of dialogue. Role-playing situations involving legal terminology are exemplified in the research. The author notes that role-playing dialogues engage all students having the different background knowledge in learning English.
