The article considers the dynamics of aeolian processes in the period of active economic development of the area of Kuytun intermountain depression, which is previously less described in scientific literature. The issues of the trend in environmental changes within the intermountain depression from the viewpoint of the modern approach to the study of aeolian processes are revealed.
