Dynamics of cultural interests in rock music in Russian society

The article discusses various aspects of the existence of rock music in Russian society. The trends of transformation of modern rock music are investigated on the example of Russian rock, from its multi direction to penetration into popular culture. Two types of Russian rock in the specifics of post Soviet culture are considered: «refined glamorous» and «simulated heroic» as reflections of the socio cultural reality that emerged in the 1990s. The problems of the further development of rock in the context of the democratization of culture and its optionality, as well as the formation of «clip» consciousness and the infantilization of society are investigated. The article asks the question about the lack of a clear ideological reference point in modern rock, which can speak not only about the crisis of Russian rock, but also about the systemic crisis of culture.
