Dynamics of fatal injuries in agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors

In the article it is presented the results of studies of the dynamics of fatal injuries and occupational diseases of workers in agriculture, forestry, fisheries sectors for 2018 on enlarged activities. It receives attention to the total number of fatal injuries according to the gender of workers. In the total mass of industrial lethal injuries, the share of men is an average of about 93%. There is a large number of person-days of disability among victims with disability for one or more working days and with a fatal outcome, as well as the number of victims who partially lost their ability to work and transferred from their main job to another in accordance with the medical report. The information on the dynamics of occupational diseases in the industry by the listed activities is given. The information on the funds spent on labor protection measures is analyzed, the need to increase the effectiveness of these costs is noted. The characterization of the situation with injuries and occupational diseases shows that working conditions do not fully meet the requirements of the country's regulatory framework. Attention is drawn to the fact that over the past decades, labor protection industry science has developed methods and means of preventing industrial injuries and disea-ses, the implementation of which has allowed to ensure zero indicators for injuries and morbidity in the industry. These provisions are based on innovative developments of the labor protection scientific and pedagogical school of St.-Petersburg State Agrarian University.
