Dynamics of dairy efficiency of cows Holstein and Simmental breeds

The primary goal of article is to compare and reveal breed of a horned cattle with which it is the most expedient to plant in prirodno-environmental conditions of a zone of Southern Ural Mountains. For this purpose considered indicators of efficiency of two breeds of foreign selection: Holstein and Simmental. Dairy efficiency studied on control milking, estimated: a yield of milk for a lactation, a daily average yield of milk, the maintenance of fat and protein in milk, quantity of dairy fat and protein, factor milkiness, and also dynamics of monthly yields of milk on I and III lactations. By results of researches, it is possible to draw a conclusion that both breeds can be used in a zone of Southern Ural Mountains. They have high efficiency, but the superiority remains for Holstein animals since this breed is the best in world practice on dairy efficiency.
