The population dynamics of the common shrew (Sorex araneus, Linneus 1758) in a swampy meadow

We investigate the dynamics of the common shrew in a swampy meadow. In the snow-free period of a year, the number of shrews in the meadow is usually low, while in the winter time, however, it becomes high. This type of biotop serves as a surviving station for a part of the shrew population in winter.
