Comprehension dynamics of meanings of the Holy Scripture in translations of New Testament hebraisms into Chinese

The article reveals some aspects of changing the understanding of the meanings of the Holy Scripture in connection with translations of New Testament Hebraisms into Chinese. The purpose of the article is to consider specifics of hebraism translations into Chinese. The research has resulted in a classification that allows all hebraisms to be divided into three groups: 1) a phonetic group associated with sounding hebraisms having no semantics loaded on them in advance by the translator, 2) a phonetic-semantic group including hieroglyphs associated with both phonetic and semantic meanings, 3) a group of semantic hebraisms that lost their sounding in the Chinese text of the New Testament, but convey the meaning. The hebraisms analyzed are studied not only in the perspective of philology, linguistics, philosophy and semantics, but also in the context of culturology, revealing a certain cultural meaning in a particular word. The relevance of the article is connected with the rapprochement processes of the Far Eastern and Russian-European cultures, which have been observed for more than a century and have become the subject of research in recent decades. However, there are still problems with biblical texts translation into Chinese.
