Russian teenagers about residents of different countries (from March to October 2022)

This paper focuses on the empirical study of the attitudes Russian teenagers toward residents of different countries. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamic of the attitudes from March to October 2022 in a time of crisis. Data were obtained by associative method and content-analysis. Students were asked to write their associations to Russians, Ukrainians, Americans, French and Chinese. The study showed that over the course of six months, the views of adolescents became more differentiated and evaluative. The greatest changes occurred with the perceptions of French and Ukrainians: attitudes towards Ukrainians became more negative, and towards the French more positive. Attitudes toward Russians have not changed significantly.
