USSR image demand dynamic in Russian internet space

The article details the methodology of determining the relevance of the USSR image as a whole in the context of historical memory. The determinant of these dynamics for the Internet space of Russia was defined. Statistical data of specific term mentions («USSR» and «Soviet Union») in paper «Arguments and Facts» for period 1984-2021 and Google requests for «USSR» (2004-2021) are gathered. On the basis of the information obtained, assumptions are made about the growth of interest in the USSR in the form of nostalgia and other manifestations among different generations. The author analyzes the dynamics of changing attitudes of citizens toward the Soviet state over Russia's recent history and makes a number of assumptions about its causes and preconditions. In particular, the decline and rise of interest is associated with the political program implemented in the country, the inner unstable perception of citizens, as well as the dialogue of generations - carriers of values in the second half of the 2010s.
