Discourtesy in intercultural communication

The article deals with the problem of intercultural interaction and the ways of its improvement in terms of discourtesy. The acquisition process of certain system of knowledge, norms and values, which function in the society depends to a large extent on the individual’s literacy and their ability to effectively use various linguistic means of communication, including discourtesy. Such knowledge will allow a person to communicate, to understand other cultures or simply coexist in their space without disturbing other people's customs and traditions, correctly and adequately responding to their verbal and nonverbal behavior.
