On interpretation of expressiveness as a lexicological category

The article touches upon the analysis of the problems connected with defining the notion of expressiveness, its correlation with related units. The role of expressiveness is discussed as including the following closely connected semantic terms: connotation, evaluation, imagery, emotionality, intensity. The article supplements the author's conception of expressive semantics, expounded in the author's views presented in the monograph of 1986.
