The materials of the diary of Volodya Azhinov, stored in the State Archives of the Rostov Region in the Fund 841, are being published from the documents of Vasily Alexandrovich Azhinov, native uncle of Volodya. The author of the few notebooks diary is a pupil of the Don Cadet Corps in honour of Emperor Alexander III. Volodya died in March 3rd, 1918 near the station of Vyselki, during the anti-Bolshevik Ice March. In March 1917, young Volodya, sensing the depth of what was happening, decided to keep a diary, with which he intended to follow the stages of his own transformation, which he expected after the country's renewal. In the records there are also some touches of life and life of the Cossack officers' milieu. This small document is also interesting by its childish and immediate content.
