Additive for winter concreting of cast-in-place structures

Free access

The article highlights the results of research on the use of antifreeze concrete additive as the effective agent for winter concreting. The antifreeze agent is a by-product of dimethyl-diethylene oxide particularly trimethylcarbinol fraction of cubic residue resulted by dime-thyl-diethylene oxide distillation. Introduction of the additive into concrete mixture guarantees intensive concrete strength development up to -37 °C.
