Purpose of the study: Preclinical study of the impact of a novel 3,3’-diindolylmethane based pharmaceutical composition «Infemin» on reproductive function and immune system. Materials and methods The study was conducted on laboratory animals which have a high reproduction rate (rats, mice). The survival of animal fetuses after use of the preparation was estimated. The preparation influence on gametogenesis and also on humoral and cellular immune response in intact and stressed animals have been studied. Results It was found that administered «Infemin» dose 1000 mg/kg counted for 3,3’-diindolylmethane has no negative influence on gametogenesis and teratogenesis in experimental animals. The preparation stimulates humoral and cellular immunity under emotional stress conditions. Conclusions The novel 3,3’-diindolylmethane based pharmaceutical composition has no reproductive toxicity and stimulates humoral and cellular immunity.
