The aim of the study is to research the anti-inflammatory analgesic and antipyretic effect of the drug Clemavet. Preclinical studies of the drug were carried out at the Department of Anatomy, Veterinary Obstetrics and Surgery of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubilin". The reference drug was NSAIDs, the main active ingredient of which was diclofenac. The experiments were carried out on white rats in two stages; the animals were divided into 4 groups of 5 animals each: group 1 - intact animals; 2nd group - formalin solution; 3rd group - the drug Clemavet; 4th group - diclofenac. Acute exudative inflammation in animals was modeled by intramuscular injection of 0.1 ml of 2 % formalin solution into the inner surface of the thigh of the rat's right hind paw. The studied drugs were injected into the left paw of the rat in the same way 1 hour before formalin administration for 5 consecutive days in doses of 0.2 ml. The severity of the inflammatory reaction and the state of the rat's body was assessed after 2, 3, 5, and 7 hours, and then every day for 7 days, taking into account changes in the paw volume, pain response and the general condition of the rat's body. According to the results of the study, the degree of anti-inflammatory and analgesic action of the drug diclofenac was higher than that of the drug Clemavet. However, diclofenac at a dose of 0.2 ml exhibits a strong side effect, itself causes tissue edema and exhibits a general toxic effect on the body (out of 5 rats in this group, one died, and 3 had edema at the injection site). It was found that the drug Clemavet has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, and the strength of the analgesic action is not inferior to standard NSAIDs. The anti-inflammatory effect of the drug Clemavet, especially in the first 2 days of use, was more pronounced.
