Interrogation as one of the main investigative actions in the investigation of traffic crimes committed by an unidentified person

The article examines the essence of the interrogation of various participants in the criminal process during the investigation of traffic crimes committed by an unidentified person. Attention is paid to aspects of preparation for the interrogation of victims, witnesses, suspects. Typical investigative situations arising during the investigation of criminal cases of this type are described. The main tactical and psychological methods of working with witnesses in the case of giving contradictory testimony are noted. The problematic issues of the initial stage of the investigation related to the lack of reliable data on the driver and other participants in the traffic accident have been identified. The set of knowledge and skills that an investigator must possess for successful interrogation is defined. Negative factors in the investigation of this type of criminal acts are given as examples from investigative practice.
