The issue of the social security of the city and its providing is relevant both scientifically and practically. Moreover, the social security of the city is a rather complex, systemic education, in which it is important to highlight significant elements and determine their relationship. It is obvious that various approaches to the allocation and characterization of these elements, the formation of a holistic view of the social security of the city are possible. This article proposes a typology of the social security of the city by the criterion of trusting relationship (trust). In accordance with this criterion, four classification features are proposed: subjectivity, level, type, form. Depending on the subjectivity, city-subjects that provide their own security, and city-objects that need external support, are selected. Four levels of social security of the city are considered: basic, interpersonal, social, generalized. On the basis of species, there can be distinguished such security types as ontological, personal, institutional and societal. The systemic and expert forms of social security of the city are also highlighted. Systemic security is influenced by social systems and institutions that establish norms and rules that govern the behavior of social subjects. Expert safety is expressed in the elimination of uncertainty in the selection of certain behavioral strategies or managerial decisions by referring to expert knowledge.
