Dualism of the influence of institutionalization of consumption in modern Russia on economic growth

The article examines the problem of the peculiarities of the institutionalization of consumption and the duality of the impact of these processes on economic growth in Russia. The study found that modern institutional transformation of consumption is effective in managing crises and maintaining basic stability. Its components, such as regulatory control, savings, and import substitution, work against the need to ensure sustainable economic growth, which should be based on increasing real incomes, expanding consumer choice, and stimulating innovation. The current model demonstrates a paradoxical situation where, on the one hand, the state actively institutionalizes digital consumption channels, increasing efficiency and accessibility; on the other hand, real demand is restrained, suppressing consumer potential. Long-term economic growth will depend on whether the state can find a balance between the need to achieve stability and the need to develop a dynamic and competitive consumer market.
