Spiritual and moral education of higher school students during the "Russian language and culture of speech" course

The authors suggest an original approach to organization of the spiritual and moral education of students at the university. The research, carried out among students and bachelors of Novocherkassk Institute of Engineering and Land Reclamation, branch of Don State Agrarian University, deals with their attitude towards profanity, slang, barbarisms, considering prevalence of such vocabulary in various forms of communication (including writing speech). The authors believe that the "Russian Language and Culture of Speech" course has resources that can be applied in order to improve the literacy of university graduates, develop their communicative competence and the system of significant values.
