The article presents the philosophical-pedagogical and psychological analysis of the categories of "spirit," "soul" and "body", different views on the concepts of "spirituality", "sincerity" and "physicality." The "spirit" and "spirituality" is considered from the perspective of the unity of the three fundamental values of human existence (Truth, Goodness, Beauty), highlighting three areas of spiritual activity - knowledge, art, morality. "Soul" and "sincerity" are associated with the internal, mental world of people, their consciousness, basic principles determining the life of the body and the feelings, consciousness, sensations and will. "Body" and "physicality" are associated with the human body and its manifestations in the external, physical forms. Spirituality determines the content of a person's life. It goes far beyond just satisfaction of needs of the body and soul. The idea of the priority of spirituality in human development is presented in the ancient, classical German and Russian religious philosophy. The article highlights the formation process of the spiritual component of health and education of a person, presents the forms of spirituality and direction of spiritual knowledge. The concept of spirituality is considered in the context of spiritual - moral activity and spiritual - moral personality as the goal of education. Historically and epistemologically the notion of spirituality has two basic meanings: the religious and the secular. Both interpretations exist in modern society; both bear the traces of history and tradition reflecting the biblical wisdom, and the high sense of human existence and everyday life. Spirituality is a fundamental virtue of the person that combines spiritual needs and abilities of the person to realize himself in creative work as well as in striving for goodness, freedom and justice. Spirituality along with morals and ethics are fundamental concepts in the process of educating students, which enhance the formation of students’ holistic outlook and influence their future life.
