Spiritual and cultural values in the national security paradigm

In the modern dynamically changing conditions of political, economic, cultural and social life, the issues of preservation, strengthening and development of the spiritual and moral foundations of modern Russian society are particularly relevant. The aim of the work is to comprehend the problem of cultural security of the country as a national one by analyzing the factors and conditions affecting it. The fundamental method of work is descriptive, using elements of observation, interpretation, comparison, and generalization. In the course of the theoretical study, the state and political aspects of the ideological space construction of the Russian Federation were identified. It is demonstrated that spiritual and cultural values in today's information society are a key element of national security. The influence of the Western axiological system on the spiritual and moral sphere of Russian society is considered. It is noted that the proliferation of ideas of globalization and the orientation on Euro-American models of values increasingly determine the behavioral stereotypes of the youth and the younger generation of Russia. They pose a particular danger in terms of the blurring of boundaries between different cultures, their assimilation, which will lead to a loss of traditional identity by peoples and have a negative impact on national security.
