Two Don-Quixots: the changing of the poetical conception of the hypertype from 1870s to 1890s (Leskov and Chekhov)

The article deals with the hypertypical aspects in the works of the outstanding writers of the end of the XIX century. Leskov’s novel «The Shabby Family» and Chekhov’s short story «The Neighbors» both contain the poetical analysis of the Don-Quixot’s character paradigmae. The difference is that Chekhov creates the personality within postrealistic manner, so his Don-Quixot is bored, ordinary and non-charismatic, while Leskov’s personage is quite an ideal. The comparison of the Two Don-Quixots reveals the important tendency of the literary characterolgy change.
