Two novels entitled “He”

The article analyzes the story “He” by L. Andreev in comparison with the text by Maupassant which has the same title. In the course of analysis it becomes clear that at the beginning of the XXth century Russian literature was influenced by European narrative practice. In both cases, the narrator organizes the text considering the possibility of several interpretations.
