The article studies the ‘dual world’ concept as a ground for conflict in a literary work. The main research objective is to determine the influence of the dual world on conflict development. The object is the ‘dual world’ concept as a ground for conflict. The subject under study is the linguo-stylistic means of the dual world representation. The research findings made it possible to conclude that the dual world serves as a ground for the inner conflict of the main character, who exists in a borderline state between reality and dream.
