Yeisk poet Ivan Podushko

The article is devoted to the life and work of Yeysk poet of the second half of the XIX century I. P. Podushko, which his modern critics have attributed to imitators of T. G. Shevchenko. The author is not the basis of the rare surviving documents separates "poeticized" the biography of the poet from reality, analyzes his only poetry collection "fixes." Noted the great contribution of the writer in the development of social and cultural life of the Kuban port city. The Addendum provides characteristic examples of his poetry translated into Russian language.
