Ekaterina Orlovskaya: an operetta star of Harbin and Shanghai

The article is devoted to the story of creative life and work of an operetta actress Ekaterina Orlovskaya, who started her career at theater of the musical comedy in Khabarovsk and them emigrated to China in the early thirties. There she became an operetta star and her name was mentioned by contemporaries next to such brilliant actors as A. Vertinsky and F. Shalyapin. The author restores unknown pages of actress’ biography analyzing her memoirs and letters.
