By the specially protected natural territories of the Kemerovo region include State Nature Reserve "Kuznetsky Alatau" National Shor park, monument of nature, "Linden Island" Museum "Tomsk pisanitsa" Kuzbass Botanical Garden (Plant Resources of Ecology Department of Human Ecology of the Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences), state nature reserves, public recreation areas, sports and tourism, green urban areas, areas of settlements territory with natural medical factors (Borisov, Tersinka), zones of protection of monuments of history and culture.
