Once again on the concept of spirituality

The article analyzes the essence of such concepts as “spirituality” and “spiritual”, which the author refers to while researching the issues of spiritual and moral development of a person, as well as forming the conceptual framework of this sphere from both philosophical and socio-philosophical point of view. The object of the research is the phenomenon of spirituality. The subject is the modern approaches to defining the essence of concepts related to the spiritual and moral sphere. Having analyzed the views of modern researchers in terms of their interpretation of such concepts as “spirituality” and “spiritual”, the author researches the issue which refers to the fact that the modern scientific thought has faced the vagueness and inconsistency of the concepts of “spirituality” and “spiritual”, as well as a numerous set of definitions, which may reflect only one aspect of such a complicated phenomenon. There has been a necessity for a holistic comprehension of the categorical apparatus associated with the spiritual and moral sphere and based both on a synthetic view and integration of various approaches, attributes and characteristics, including non-classical non-rational knowledge, in particular, the philosophical heritage of Helena and Nicholas Roerich. The synthetic analysis will contribute to a better understanding of the process of spiritual and moral development both in the scientific community and the applied activities and allow the revealing the multidimensionality of human nature as an alternative to massification and inanition to a greater extent.
