The article conducts the linguosemiotic analysis of the content basis of the first Slavonic writing system in the context of Cyril and Methodius heritage and the Creed, the most important creedal text of Christianity. The relevance of the research is determined by the insufficient study of the initial link of the Slavonic written tradition. The problem of the research is to find out the meaningful connection of the initial Slavonic writing system with the evangelical Christological complex. The aim of the research is to show the significance of the right faith complex for the activity of Saints Cyril and Methodius, the creators of the Slavonic writing, and the reflection of the evangelical meaning complex about Christ in the first Slavonic alphabet. The methodology included the textual analysis of the Cyril and Methodius heritage, the semiotic analysis of the Glagolitic system, and the cultural analysis of the historical context. The texts of the Cyril and Methodius canon and the semiotic system of the Glagolitic alphabet were used as the research materials. The study demonstrated the significance of the content complex of the right faith reflected in the texts of Cyril and Methodius heritage, identified its dominant meanings related to the glorification of the Holy Trinity and the affirmation of the dogmas about Christ, and substantiated the Christological content basis of Glagolitic alphabet and its correlation with the evangelical Christological dogmas of the Creed. The connection between the alphabet and the Creed is reflected in the matrix signs that focus the messianic idea. It is concluded that both the missionary activity of the Solun brothers and the creation of the Slavonic script were subordinated to their theological preaching activity aimed at affirming the complex of the right faith enshrined in the Nicene-Tsaregrad Creed. The significance of the study lies in the affirmation of the evangelical origin of the Slavonic written tradition.
