European monetary integration: prospects for Ukraine

The article systematizes evolution stages of the European monetary union and its elements, describes principles of the European Central Banks system functioning and membership conditions in it. The author analyzes consequences of the European monetary union formation for the participant countries and Ukraine, and substantiates guidelines regarding changes of the monetary aspects of its money-and-credit policy. The program principles and prospects of Ukraine’s integration in the European monetary union are defined.
