The article presents a sociophilosophical analysis of the factors shaping the individual’s imperative field through the lenses of existential and institutional approaches. The study differentiates these factors into intrasubjective and intersubjective groups, depending on the source and determination of norms or requirements. Intrasubjective factors arise within the individual and include values, worldview, conscience, beliefs, and personal motivation. Intersubjective factors originate in society and the environment – culture, social institutions, education, religion, and law – and are internalized in the processes of socialization and enculturation. The research identifies the characteristics of a healthy and a destructive imperative field of personality. The author concludes that the formation of the imperative field is a dynamic and multifaceted process involving the interplay of power, knowledge, language, and the inner world of the person. Understanding this process expands the possibilities for further interdisciplinary philosophical research.
