The factors of scientific and technological space

The development of spatial aspects of territories around the world and in each individual state is associated with the problem of improving functioning efficiency of the individual parts of the whole. The growing integration processes are addressing this problem and exacerbating it at the same time. Thus, as a result of the interaction of parts of the whole and individual components, knowledge and technologies can be created (a positive effect on the development of the scientific and technological space) or borrowed (a negative effect). The result of joining the states’ efforts in various fields of activity is presented as a bank of scientific and technological ideas that serve as a source of improving social, political, and economic activities through innovations in the framework of scientific and technological progress. However, the lack of a unified base of scientific and technological innovations, common aspects of regulating innovation processes, etc. necessitates forming a generally recognized scientific and technological space. Scientific and technological space is one of the main forms of territories unification associated with the formation of a certain environment, not limited geographically, but conditioned by the economic agents’ functioning within the framework of the existing normative-legal documents concerning their cooperation in the field of scientific and technological development and increase of capacity to achieve the priorities of the organizational and management system of the state and lower levels, in particular in the “race” for the territories’ competitiveness, while maintaining their security. The purpose of the article is to study the factors determining the scientific and technological space. Scientific novelty consists in systematization of factors of scientific and technological space in the context of their groups and depending on different classification features. Practical implications consist in the use of the results obtained by public authorities in planning and regulating scientific and technological development, space management. The materials can also be taken into account by researchers in the field of scientific and technical space. The main methods for achieving the goal set are the analysis and synthesis, generalization and systematization, and others. Future research is related to the problem of evaluating the scientific and technological space, taking into account the revealed factors.
